The exciting new sports field complex project for First Baptist Church School Shreveport, Louisiana, includes a turf field, running track, multi-sport game courts, a new educational garden area, and so much more. This project has been a dream of the school for years which is becoming a reality!

The Sports Complex will improve FBC School’s Patriot campus and increase opportunities in a variety of ways, allowing expanded daily student growth, learning, and play through physical education classes, recess and an array of sports activities. Talents will be developed further enhancing the school’s Patriot student life.

Currently in Phase 1A, the project work includes a retaining wall, drainage system and various preparation work needed for the sports courts. This scope of work will include two multi-sports courts, a turf football/soccer field with a 3-lane track, a hydration station, playground, picnic area, and an education garden area.

The project encompasses featuring state-of-the-art amenities for the FBC School’s Patriots Sports Complex, including:

• 35-yard x 50-yard Sport Field with synthetic surfacing for football, soccer and baseball;

• 1/10 mile three-lane synthetic track for the running club, cross country and track;

• Two multi-sport game courts for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, four-square activities:

  • Court 1 – 70 ft. x regulation width dimensions

  • Court 2 – 42 ft. x 50 ft dimensions

• Interactive Education Garden;

• 20 ft x 20 ft. shade structure with hydration station and seating;

• Tiered retaining wall with ball netting;

• Acoustic dampening sound wall and outdoor lighting;

• Patriot Recognition Wall recognizing families and businesses who support the school and it’s projects;

• New trash enclosure and code-compliant parking spaces;

• Playground with enhanced surfacing; and

• Picnic area​
